Dr. Amanda Sanford
Dr. Amanda Sanford was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She graduated from South Dakota State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Sciences, majoring in Biology. Following her undergraduate degree, she pursued her doctorate education at Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA, where she received her Bachelor of Sciences in Vision Sciences in 2007 and her Doctor of Optometry in 2010. She has spent nearly a decade practicing medical eye care in large group ophthalmological practices and refractive surgery centers.
She is currently clinical director for The LASIK Vision Institute in Plantation, FL where she has been practicing for the past three years. She prides herself on being a well-balanced optometrist with extensive experience in refractive surgery pre and post-operative care and management of anterior segment pathology. She also has extensive experience fitting specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus.
She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry. Outside of her busy schedule at LASIK Vision Institute she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and three beautiful children.
